images_traffic2.png…. Who are we?
Your key is a membership scheme brought to you through Mark Thompson Law.

Through years of experience dealing with those unfortunate enough to be involved in accidents, we knew that this service would be valuable.

We have carefully combined the services which our experience tells us will be most needed by our members in the case of an accident. We have then made all those services available by calling just one number.

Calls are dealt with by Ansaback, a professional call handling company. Your call is important to us, so there are no machines to answer you calls, just real people. Each of our call handlers are trained and knowledgeable professionals waiting to take your call.

Hire and credit hire services are provided by tried and tested partners. The priority will be for provision of a replacement vehicle by credit hire if the company judge that you have a likely compensation case.

Our legal expenses insurance covers accidents across England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and the Channel Isles. We are sorry this does not include the Isle of Man. Please note that outside the England and Wales jurisdiction you will be offered options as to how to pursue your case. The specialist we refer you too will guide you.

This all sounds too good to be true.
I have heard of companies that take a large percentage of any compensation to cover their costs.
    Is this how you work?
Also a soft rubber keyring with your details on is the best thing for bikers because mobile phones don’t always survive the accident!
    Regards,

    Thanks Marc,
Absolutely nothing is taken from your compensation, so don’t worry.
The “free” part of our service is the most difficult to explain. The best thing to do is tell you how the system used to work before we stood it on its head.
Your vehicle insurance is there to cover your liability for the damage you do, it covers you against the claims of others. People involved in an accident which is the fault of someone else usually phone their own insurance company. The insurance company will arrange for the services necessary after an accident which include hire, repair, recovery and a solicitor. The benefit to the insurance company is that they receive commission. That is exactly what we do, the difference being we do not charge you about £25 per vehicle for legal cover. We give you that cover free, and rely on the commissions, and absolutely no deduction from your compensation.
Your Key is a different business model utilizing the commissions already paid, to give you free legal cover. We think it is fair to you and transparent.
    Take care.
    YourKey team.

Thanks for your speedy response. Insurance and legal cover are such an important issue these days it is essential to get clarification of these issues before any problems arise.

Bikers prefer soft keyrings because the ignition key ‘flaps in the wind’ and can scratch the top yoke.

Many companys have details in relief on the keyring with the number printed on the reverse which seem to last 12 months.

  3. YourKey team Says:

    Thanks Marc,
We distributed plastic keyring cards to our first members. Fear of scratching the petrol tank was an occasional issue. We are working on alternatives.
Thanks for the suggestion, and glad your mind is at rest on the legal cover question.
    YourKey team.
