Breakdown insurance cover

At Your Key we are always on the lookout for ways to help you save money.

You should be saving money already as the free legal cover from Your Key means you are not spending an extra £25 every time you insure a bike or car. If you are not making this saving click here for a quick reminder.

We have been looking at vehicle running costs and suggest you take a look at breakdown cover. You need it as Your Key is for accidents, not breakdowns, but you could be paying too much for breakdown cover. Are you a member of a motoring organisation and paying by direct debit? You looked hard at insurance quotes, but paying too much for breakdown cover will write off that saving.

There are two interesting alternatives available which are well worth a look.

AutoAid is a rock bottom price breakdown insurer. You pay an annual fee and AutoAid sorts you out if you breakdown. You pay for the services and reclaim the cost from AutoAid. Its cheap but fiddly. You can link to AutoAid here.

The next service is well priced and has a no claims bonus. Rather than subsidising others why not benefit from your own good record and pay less next year. We found Autonational recommended at Money Saving Expert.

Certainly worth a look, and despite the pictures of cars they do cover bikes over 150 cc.

Your Key is the accident support service which arranges free legal cover, and arranges the services you need after accidents. We include your family and passengers, and will deal with all accidents. That means Your Key is all you need for all accidents, all vehicles, and all activities.

Our policy is free as we earn commission if we arrange services for our members. This unique package means you no longer have to buy legal cover on any vehicle. For a detailed description click here.

Make sure you save our number as “accident” on family phones – 0330 022 5210 or 0800 0 114 114, and your breakdown provider under “breakdown,” so you know who to call for help.

If you have a question please call 0845 6809834 – Calls cost up to 4p per minute plus your phone company’s access charge.
